Every generation Scenema runs (video, image, narration, music, voice cloning) costs credits. Your workspace has a monthly credit budget that comes with your plan. You can top up any time.

Credits

How does the Free tier credit schedule work?

The Free plan grants 200 credits when you sign up. Every week for the next three weeks, another 100 credits are added to your account automatically. That reaches 500 total across your first month. Once your first month ends, upgrade to a paid plan to receive a fresh monthly credit budget.

What is a credit?

A credit is the unit Scenema bills compute in. Credits are consumed by every generation you run: video shots, keyframe images, character reference images, narration audio, music, voice cloning, and exports. Higher resolutions and pro-tier models cost more credits per second than the fast tier.

How much will my project cost?

The Studio shows a live credit estimate before every generation, so you always see the cost up front. Actual usage varies with resolution, video model tier (Fast vs Pro), voice model, and how many regenerations you approve per shot. Review the estimate, edit if needed, then approve.

Do credits expire?

Monthly-plan credits roll into the next month if unused, up to a plan-specific rollover cap. Top-up credits do not expire.

Can I top up mid-month?

Yes. Top-up credit packs are available from the billing surface at any time. Top-up credits stack on top of your monthly allowance.

Billing

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No proration on cancellations.

Do I keep my content if I cancel?

Yes. Projects, exported videos, generated audio, and all assets remain accessible in read-only mode. Regeneration requires an active plan or top-up credits.

Do you offer annual discounts?

Yes. Creator and Pro tiers ship with a 50% annual discount, billed up front. Starter is single-price monthly.

Can I change plans?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Do you refund failed generations?

Yes. Any generation that fails on our side (upstream provider error, worker crash, timeout) is automatically refunded to your workspace balance. You do not have to file a ticket.

Do you refund human-decision cases?

No. Regenerations you request because you did not like the output are charged as normal. You can review the estimate before every generation and approve or edit before spending.

What Free actually includes

What can I make on the Free plan?

The Free plan opens the full Scenema app. You get the Director chat, the Audio and Video studios, every active video model, prompt and shot editing, keyframe and shot regeneration, retakes on any generation, asset versioning, and video export. Reference materials like PDFs, TXT files, images, schematics, and EPUBs work as story context for the Director.

The Free tier limits are on quantity and quality knobs, not on which parts of the app you can visit. Videos cap at 60 seconds and 480p. Narration script caps at 1000 characters (roughly 70 seconds of narration); scripts longer than that are truncated to fit and the app prompts you to upgrade if you want the full length. You cannot upload reference images for characters or locations. Voice cloning, the Voices Studio, the Styles Studio, and the brand kit are on paid tiers.

Do Free videos have a watermark?

Yes. Every paid plan removes it.

Video generation

Which video models does each plan get?

Every plan has access to every active video model in Scenema. Plans differ on resolution and duration ceilings, not on the model catalog.

What is the video length ceiling per plan?

Multi-chapter stories on paid plans stitch multiple scenes together to reach the ceiling for the tier.

What is the resolution ladder?

The shot editor filters the resolution picker per your plan. Free users pick from the model’s lowest supported tier. Pro users pick from the model’s highest supported tier.

Can I export individual shots?

Creator and Pro plans can export the shots of a project as a ZIP, one file per shot, ready for external editing.

Text-to-speech and voice

What voices are available on Free?

Every plan gets Scenema Audio, the expressive text-to-speech system with 20 or more languages. The Free tier caps the narration script at 1000 characters per project (roughly 70 seconds of narration); over-cap scripts are truncated and the app offers an upgrade to write at full length. Paid plans lift the cap entirely.

What is voice cloning?

Voice cloning trains an AI voice from samples you upload. Once trained, the Director generates new lines in the cloned voice. Voice clone quotas grow with the tier: 1 on Starter, 10 on Creator, 25 on Pro.

What does “Bring your own voice” mean?

Paid plans let you upload your own recorded audio to use as the narration for a project. The audio you upload is the narration, no synthesis. Useful when you want your own voice in the video without training a full voice clone.

What is the Voices Studio?

A paid-only area of the app where you build, name, and manage custom voices trained from your samples. All paid plans include it.

Studios

What is the Styles Studio?

A paid-only area of the app where you build custom video styles: opinionated visual looks for a documentary series, tutorial channel, or brand ad campaign. Free users pick from the built-in Scenema styles.

What is the brand kit?

The brand kit stores logos, colors, and fonts that get applied consistently across every rendered video from your workspace. Creator and Pro plans include it. Useful for studios producing multiple videos under one brand.

API and integrations

Can I access Scenema through an API?

Not yet. MCP integration is on the roadmap and rolls out to every plan when it ships. Planned surfaces include Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, and Meta Muse.

What about sound effects and background music?

SFX and soundtrack generation are on the roadmap and will roll out to every plan.

Enterprise

Do you offer custom plans?

Yes. Studios and larger teams that need custom credit allocations, team-scale support, or invoicing terms should contact us through scenema.ai  for a custom plan sized to your monthly output.
